What do you do in your spare time?
A member of the Argyle United Methodist Church, on the board of the Greater Denton Arts Council, member of both Rotary and Kiwanis. I love traveling, sailing, and giving back to the community.

Staff and titles of your business: Dora Baeza, Carol Wagnon, Claudia Carter, and Martha Sutton are Senior Sales Specialists; Victoria Orlova is a Licensed Sales Producer; Elizabeth Headrick is Operations Manager; Jaime Santillan is the Personal Financial Representative.
What inspired you to open your business?
In 1982 I met a lady, a special lady, and that was a life changing experience for me. She was an Allstate Agency Owner and a pillar of the community where I lived in St. Charles, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. We were friends during the years I lived there and I saw how she made a difference in peoples lives.
When I retired from ADM I rekindled the idea of being an Allstate agent and giving to the community through my work.
What services do you offer?
We offer you a full range of insurance services, from auto and home to commercial and life.
What are your most popular services?
That would have to be our Your Choice Home, Auto, and Motorcycle products. From the Platinum Package to the Value Package we offer a wide selection and discounts for good drivers, online bill pay, and bundling as well many other discounts.
What makes your business unique?
I started the agency with my own money and with 30 years of business and management experience and a desire to make a difference in peoples lives. We have now been open for six months. I have six employees, ranging in age from 21 to 65. Four of the six were unemployed when I hired them plus four of them are specialists in the insurance and investment industry.
Combined we bring the agency 86 years of insurance, investments, and business experience. When you talk to us you know you are in good hands.
What made you choose Unicorn Lake as your business location?
This area is lovely and easy to get to from most parts of Denton County. We enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere and the great selection of businesses.
What's the best thing about having a business in Denton?
Denton has heart and is much like the proud community I grew up in, with strong support for the arts, great schools, and good government. The people here take the time to care for others and build a better community for the future and our children.
